The Ebony Wood we are using mostly for luxury chess products. Many of our exclusive and rare chess sets are made out of Genuine Ebony wood. This is tropical wood which come in black color logs and some logs are also available with light brown stripes on it, which looks very beautiful and extraordinary. The Ebony wood is expensive wood and availability of this wood is not easy. The wood is available different states of India. The wood itself is naturally black which warp and crack very fast in hot weather. Ebony wood is mainly uses for producing exclusive chess products and Music Instruments. The Ebony wood is heaviest wood in chess Industry if comparing with any other wood used for producing chess equipments.

We are using Ebony wood for manufacturing all our luxury Chess pieces and solid wood luxury chess boards because the wood has straight grains and it is very smooth for turning or shaving on the machines. Ebony wood is hardwood which has ability to carve even sharp edges very finely. There are no other wood available for substitute of Ebony wood and this wood is exceptionally beautiful and easy to do any level of difficult craftsmanship on it.

The chess Empire is using only dead dry wood purchased directly from Government or Authentic dealers with all certificates. We choose only A Grade Wood material for all our chess products. We are not using any green trees or unauthorized woods. The Wood is a natural product which can crack or warp naturally.
