Our heritage

Three generations at the carving bench.

Founded in Amritsar in 1962, The Chess Empire is a family-run workshop where master craftsmen shape every piece by hand. Our hardwoods are sourced directly from India's Forest Department — never outsourced, never compromised — and every set passes three separate inspections before it is packed.
