Our valuable asset of experience in chess manufacturing from the last three generations has made us capable of understanding the selection of best quality woods and choosing the right equipment to manufacture the world’s best elegant chess pieces. 

Acacia wood is recently introduced in chess industry. The Acacia wood is light brown wood and substitute to the sheesham wood. This wood is hardwood and also known as Babul wood and Kikar wood in India. This is easily available in North India. We produce dark pieces of Acacia wood opposite to the light wood chess pieces. The Acacia wood is heaviest wood compare to the sheesham wood.

We are using Acaic wood for manufacturing many of our chess pieces and chess boards because the wood has straight grains and it is very smooth for turning and sawing on the machines. The Acacia wood changes the color to light reddish after couple of years. We do not process anything else except drying it.

The chess Empire is using only dead dry wood purchased directly from Government or Authentic dealers with all certificates. We choose only A Grade Wood material for all our chess products. We are not using any green trees or unauthorized woods. The Wood is a natural product which can crack or warp naturally.
